In this class we challenge the core to stabilise while we move the limbs in a cross body manner - you could think of this as anti rotational movements. The cross body motion is trying to pull the torso into rotation so the core must stabilise and to try to prevent this rotation. This is a really clever way of building core strength and it's fun too.
A nice Yogi bonus of this core control is the ability to lower to the floor in sun salutations - as in Chaturanga Dandasana
