"Empower and Ease" This class combines elements of empowerment through strength-building exercises such as resistance training and Pilates with practices that promote ease and relaxation such as yoga and stretching.

In this class you will engage in exercises that target all muscle groups, helping to increase awareness, strength and stability, encouraging a sense of empowerment both physically and mentally.

You will also be guided through gentle yoga flows to help release tension, reduce stress, and improve mobility.

The class will finish with a guided breath focused relaxation encouraging a sense of calm and ease in both body and mind.

"Empower and Ease" is designed for Beginners and Improvers but it is suitable for individuals of all fitness levels looking to improve their strength, mobility, and overall well-being in a supportive and inclusive environment.

The only prerequisite for this class is the ability to get up and down from the floor with relative ease.

If you want to build strength, increase mobility and enhance your overall sense of wellbeing, then Empower & Ease is the class is for you!

"Strong and Supple" is a comprehensive class that blends the benefits of resistance training with the fluid movements of yoga flows and the rejuvenating effects of relaxation techniques. This class is designed to help you cultivate both strength and mobility in a balanced and harmonious way.

The class begins with a focus on building strength through resistance training. All muscle groups will be targeted in a variety of movements, using body weight and equipment such as dumbbells and resistance bands. The additions of equipment allows for progression and a balance of both push and pull movements that cannot be achieved with a mat class alone.

After the strength-building segment, the class transitions into yoga flows that emphasize fluid movements and mindful breathing, incorporating elements of balance, flexibility, and core stability.

Towards the end of the class, the focus shifts to relaxation and rejuvenation. You will be guided through gentle stretches, restorative poses, and breathing exercises aimed at promoting relaxation, reducing stress, and calming the mind.

"Core & More" is a dynamic class that blends the principles of Pilates and resistance training with a sprinkle of power development to create a comprehensive class designed to strengthen the core, enhance muscular endurance increase mobility and improve overall quality of movement.

This class focuses on building a strong foundation through core strength & stability, increasing strength with resistance exercises, enhancing mobility with well constructed mobility drills and keeping youthful energy (whatever your age) with that sprinkle of power development.

Drawing on my skills and training as a Personal Trainer, a Yoga teacher and a Pilates Instructor I can create a programme that ticks all the boxes, selecting movements and exercises that you enjoy to help you to achieve your goals.

Your programme will be designed especially to suit you!

We will discuss your goals and what you would like to achieve from your movement practice. We will work through movements and exercises that will support your goals and… you’ll get homework!

Consistency is key! So homework is very important. Your homework will come in the form of a programme designed especially for you with supporting videos to help you to remember your exercises and how to perform them to get the most from them.

Images and paper copy of notes are also available if you prefer that format.

The fee for a 60minute private class, including your personalised programme and homework videos is €60. Appointments can be secured with a €25 non refundable deposit.

The class is held in the Iona Centre, Knocklyon, Dublin 16.

This class will resume in Sept 2025

Run by *BASE (Ballyboden Adult Social Education) and taught by me since 2011.

Held in the welcoming hall of Whitechurch Community Centre, Rathfarnham.

This class is suitable for beginners and the more experienced Yogi.

Our Yoga vibe is fun and relaxed, incorporating core strength and overall, full body strength and mobility, balance training and more, to make us all fearless movers. This class will always end with a delicious relaxation, ensuring you leave the class with a transformed sense of wellbeing.

Booking and payment for this class is through BASE. You can register your interest by getting in touch with me here or you can call Caroline from BASE on 087 739 5730.

How to find the perfect class

With over 100 Classes to choose from it's important that you can find the type of class you want to do on any given day without having to scroll through them all.


Let's look at the ways you can search for your perfect class:

  • Date: The class titles include their recording date, using the date option you could work through the classes by date and even follow along to a term or a theme.
  • Filter: In the top left hand corner, of the On Demand Library page, you'll see a Filter, when you open the filter you'll see drop down options to choose from, these options include duration, body part etc... Simple click the options that suit you and your perfect class will appear below.
  • Search: In the top right hand corner, of the On Demand Library page, you'll see a Search Button, simply enter a key, e.g. osteoporosis or breath. to find the kind of class that you would like to do.

Below you'll find some expanded descriptions of the search terms:

MELLOW = emphasis on easing tension

ACTIVE = emphasis on building strength and endurance

ATHLETIC = athletic warm up

ANAT. FOCUSED = emphasis on the anatomy of a movement or an anatomical part

MEDITATION = guided meditation

The library is updated regularly and the classes on offer are shaped by your needs and requests so if you have a special request please get in touch and I'd be happy to create something for you.
