This is week 1 of a core focus 4 week term.

In this class we introduce the intrinsic core with some cross body crawling movements.

We also look at finding the tipping point of the pelvis when moving the legs away from the body, a very common core exercise that's often not explained thoroughly and so often leads to a grumpy lower back. However, with the aid of our Yoga strap we learn to move the legs away from the body in a way that is supportive to the lower back and which in time builds core strength. Another thing I love about this movement done this way is that we can clearly see the progression as it happens - which is awesome and inspiring!

One last thing on this movement... the tipping point is different for everyone and for so many reasons only one of which is core strength, however this is definitely one reason.

We also honour the traditions of Yoga by talking about the Satya the 2nd Yama - rules/guidelines to live by.
